Hawaii Police Chief Harry S. Kubojiri announced the promotions of five employees from the rank of police officer to the rank of sergeant/detective.

Hawaii Police Chief Harry S. Kubojiri announced the promotions of five employees from the rank of police officer to the rank of sergeant/detective.

• Sgt. Erich D. Jackson, a 10-year veteran of the Hawaii Police Department, will be assigned to the South Kohala District. He currently is assigned to Kona Patrol.

• Sgt. Bryan I. R. Tina, a 10-year-veteran of the department, will be assigned to the Puna District. He now works as a school resource officer in Hilo.

• Detective Pernell E. Hanoa, an 11-year veteran of the department, will be assigned to the Area II Criminal Investigations Section in Kona. His current assignment is in the Ka‘u District.

• Detective Brandon K. Mansur, an eight-year veteran of the department, will be assigned to the Area II Juvenile Aid Section in Kona. He now is assigned to Kona Patrol.

• Detective Bobbie-Jo K. Sagon, an 11-year-veteran of the department, will be assigned to the Area I Criminal Investigations Section in Hilo. She currently is assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Unit.

The promotions take effect Nov. 16.
